About us

Built on a single conviction

Project Takeoff, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) pending nonprofit organization that removes the financial and access barriers keeping individuals — especially youth, families, and aspiring entrepreneurs in low- and moderate-income communities — from experiencing travel, education, leadership development, financial literacy, and mentorship. These are the same experiences that, for people with more resources, routinely shape careers and open doors.

Mission

To remove barriers to opportunity by expanding access to education, mentorship, financial empowerment, leadership development, and transformational travel experiences.

Through its programs, Project Takeoff helps individuals broaden their perspectives, build meaningful relationships, develop lifelong skills, and create pathways to economic mobility and generational success.

Vision

A world where financial circumstances never prevent someone from experiencing opportunity.

Within five to ten years, Project Takeoff will be a nationally recognized nonprofit that has empowered thousands of youth, families, and aspiring entrepreneurs through travel, education, resources, personal development, and meaningful relationships.

The problem we solve

Millions of Americans — especially those from low- and moderate-income communities — have limited access to experiences that broaden perspective, build professional networks, and expose them to educational and career opportunities.

These gaps in exposure contribute directly to gaps in economic mobility, leadership representation, and financial well-being. Many people spend their entire lives within the same few miles, never seeing what is possible beyond it.

Project Takeoff exists to create firsts.

Theory of change

Research consistently links exposure to new cities, colleges, employers, mentors, cultures, and professional networks to stronger career aspirations, higher educational attainment, and greater leadership development.

Our programs are designed around that link: each program pairs an experience — travel, a retreat, a conference, a training — with the relationships and skills that make the experience compound over time. The result is a grant-friendly, evidence-aligned theory of change.
